Residential Gutter Cleaning | May 2026
Eastleigh, Hampshire
We recently completed a gutter cleaning job on a semi-detached property on Desborough Road, Eastleigh, where the homeowner had reported water overflowing from the front guttering during periods of heavy rainfall, along with damp staining appearing on the exterior wall beneath an upstairs bedroom window.
On inspection, the guttering was heavily restricted by a build-up of moss, wet leaves, and roof sediment that had accumulated over time, with a partially blocked downpipe preventing proper drainage and causing water to back up along the run during storms. There was also evidence of standing water in sections of the gutter, indicating reduced flow throughout the system.
We carried out a full clearance of both front and rear guttering, manually removed all debris, and flushed the downpipe system to restore full water flow. After completion, we tested the system thoroughly to ensure everything was draining correctly, leaving the guttering fully operational and free-flowing.
